Benefits of Green Tea for Health

A green tea getting to us from China and India has become one of the most useful beverages for human health. Numerous studies have confirmed the beneficial properties of the green tea, and that is why this drink is so popular today.

Few people know that the green tea from the Russian samovar (a kind of the tea-makers) has even more useful properties, as these properties do not disappear and evaporate away during the tea brewing.

The tea is the most consumed beverage in the world after water. However, about 78% is the black tea and only 20% on the green.

All kinds of this drink are brewing from the dried leaves of tea bush. The degree of staining water due to the oxidation of this bush's leaves determines a type of the tea. If the leaves stain the water in a dark brown shade, it is the black tea; pale brown, closer to yellow – the green one.

The green tea leaves are oxidized in a relatively lesser extent, so it is one of the less processed types of tea. Therefore, the green tea contains the most beneficial antioxidants and polyphenols to a greater extent. It is used in the Chinese and Indian folk-medicine to control blood pressure, heal wounds, improve digestion, heart function, mental health and regulate body temperature.
