As you know, there is not only milk obtained from the animals − for example, cows or goats. Today, the milk can also be of vegetable origin. So, for example, the most famous, perhaps, is the coconut milk. However, there is also so-called the almond milk.  As it is not difficult to guess, this milk is made from almonds, and as it turned out, its benefits are very, very effective. And it is interesting that the useful properties of this product are slightly different from the useful properties of almonds themselves. Composition of Almond Milk 

If we talk about the useful composition of this milk, then it has its own characteristics. For example, it contains the proteins, in an amount of 1g per 100g of product. This, of course, can not be compared with the protein content in cow's milk (there, the amount of protein is 8g); however, and one gram is actually a very good indicator. Also, the calcium is present in it, about 2mg per 100g, and again, it is significantly less compared to the cow's product. However, this does not interfere with the almond milk in its useful product. 

It contains many minerals and organic substances. For example, there are manganese and magnesium, zinc and copper, selenium and iron, phosphorus and about twenty useful micro-elements. This makes the almond milk a useful drink.

Useful Properties of Almond Milk 

And now, let us consider the useful properties of our drink. The almond milk effectively helps during the diets and active stages of weight loss. That is, it allows you to control your own weight, depending on whether you need to increase it or reduce it. After all, the caloric content of the almond milk is very low − about 60 kcal. Therefore, as a result, we get a great diet drink, with good protein content. This, in turn, will help lose the excess weight, or will not allow you to lose the necessary pounds. Similarly, the almond milk is also useful for the heart. It helps to get rid of harmful cholesterol, as well as saturated fat in the blood. This helps relieve the heart and enable it to function normally, lower the high blood pressure, if it occurs, and prevent the development of cardiovascular diseases. 

In view of the average amount of calcium in the almond milk, it can help tune up the bone system, strengthen the bones and the teeth, which is quite important. So, with the help of the almond milk, you can provide yourself with more than 30% daily calcium. In addition, due to the presence of vitamin D in the drink, the milk is also an excellent tool for the treatment and prevention of diseases such as arthritis or osteoporosis, arthrosis and others. Moreover, these substances strengthen and immunity in general. The almond milk produces a noticeable effect and on the human skin. So, it gives it a radiant and healthy appearance, cleans and rejuvenates it. And all this, thanks to vitamin E, which is a part of the milk. It provides up to 50% of the daily intake of this vitamin, which, naturally, affects the skin condition. It also helps protect the latter from the ultraviolet radiation and the harmful effects of the sun. 

Also, the milk helps reduce blood sugar, or, at least, does not contribute to its increase. The almond milk is famous for its sugar-free status, which is why it is often consumed by the diabetics or simply by those who has the elevated glucose levels. Also, the almond milk helps to strengthen the muscles because of the presence in it of protein and other nutrients − B vitamins and iron, for example. This drink also contains the dietary fibre, albeit in small amounts (only 0.5-1g), but this level allows you to better absorb substances and promote normal digestion. By the way, there is no lactose in the almond milk therefore the risk of the stomach upset, or any other indigestions, is simply absent, in contrast, for example, from the same cow's milk. 

Also, the almond milk is useful for preventing eye health, strengthening the eyes. In addition, the drink helps them to adapt quickly to changing light from light to dark and vice versa. 


Harmful Qualities of Almond Milk 

This drink, none whatsoever, cannot be regarded as a substitute for the maternal breast human milk. Buying the almond milk in the store, you can also be stumbled upon food additives in its composition, for example, for the presence of carrageenan. Therefore, before buying and using such drink it is important to read the composition of milk, and to check it for the presence of such harmful additives.
