Decorating Home Cake with Your Own Hands − How to Do It?

In contrast to the store's cakes, homemade analogs are much safer and more useful. Using the natural ingredients, lack of colorants, food additives and other impurities, makes such cakes an ideal dish for a feast or a holiday. The only thing we would like to domesticate from a cake from the store is its appearance. After all, it is necessary to recognize that the cakes made at the confectionery factory are very attractive for their appearance. 

In this article we will discuss how to make a decoration of a homemade cake yourself. To make this thing easier for you, you can use an edible ink (it can be bought as a set consisting of four primary colors or individual colors you need), with which you will be much easier to embellish the cake. 

To decorate the cake, in the first place, you need to choose a cream. As a rule, the most suitable in this case are the butyric and meringue creams. They are perfectly kept shaped and taste good. Recipes for preparing creams can be found on the internet. We offer the simplest cooking recipes: 

1. Beat up soft butter with a mixer and get a lush mass. Gradually add five tablespoons of condensed milk without stopping mixing. Get the uniform cream. 
2. To prepare the meringue cream, take five egg whites, beat them with a mixer, make strong foam. Add about nine ounces of sugar, adding them gradually one spoonful for another. Beat them the mixer for 10-12 minutes. Take it to the oven, heated to 112 °F for an hour and a half. 

To decorate the cream you will need the confectionery tools: syringes and bags, nozzles, with which you can make the curly curls, interesting little shapes in the form of flowers, stems, inscriptions and leaves. 

To the finished cream, you can add a food coloring − it can be a natural component (carrot or beet juice, cocoa, spinach juice, etc.) or the edible ink, which we mentioned earlier. If you were fond of the plasticine in your childhood, and liked to sculpt various figurines from it, for sure, you will be interested in special confectionery mastic. In its properties, it is very similar to the plasticine. However, unlike the latter, it is edible and has an unrivaled taste. Therefore, if you are able to sculpt − be sure to use this. Such mastic can be purchased in ready-made form or prepared independently. To do this, you need to take an equal number of the parts of powdered sugar, condensed and milk powder. Mix all ingredients and knead the dough (if necessary, add food coloring). That is all; the options for decorating the home cake with your own hands are innumerable.
