Spirulina − Useful Properties and Application

One of the most useful algae is rightly considered a spirulina. This is it, among many other species, has a special biochemical composition, which makes of it really useful product for combating diseases and the obesity. In this article, we will examine the useful properties of spirulina and the way it acts on our body. 

The spirulina algae composition is rich in the folic acid and the vitamin A, the phycocyanin and the vitamins B1 and B8. Also, it is included the cystine, the iodine and the ferrum. As a result, such a rich mineral composition attaches the valuable properties. 

Useful Properties of Spirulina 

So, thanks to the use of spirulina algae, it is possible to regulate the work of nervous system, to regulate the internal organs, and to improve the hemoglobin level in the blood. The vitamins in spirulina help protect the organism from the effects of free radicals, and this plant has the strong antioxidant properties. The algae spirulina is useful and for the prevention of vision. 

The enzymes of this plant have a positive effect on the functions of stem cells, strengthen the health and the immunity, and are also used to treat the blood diseases and in the oncologic cases. The useful properties of spirulina affect the functioning of brain and the work of nerve cells. A vitamin B8 of this plant is useful for the eyesight and blood vessels, its deficiency can cause the sleep disturbance or the infertility.

Cleansing the body − is one of the main and the most valuable and irreplaceable functions of alga spirulina. The proper preparation and using of algae spirulina leads to complete cleansing of body from the wastes and the toxins, removal of heavy metals and radionuclides. 

These algae are prescribed for type 2 diabetes mellitus. The spirulina perfectly reduces the level of sugar in the blood just six weeks after the beginning of the procedure. The modern preparations based on this alga are produced in the form of tablets that dissolve easily in the body, are absorbed quickly and efficiently. 

Spirulina is especially valuable for the hair health, and in general, it is widely used in the cosmetology. On the basis of algae, the nourishing and rejuvenating facials are prepared, the masks that accelerate the growth of hair, as well as the remedies for giving the hair a healthy and natural shine. This useful property of spirulina is relevant because in its composition it has the protein, the zinc and the manganese, the several vitamins and the amino acids. 

When the hair falls out, reducing their gloss and becoming thinner, a restoring mask is recommended. For its preparation it is necessary: 

- fresh yolks (3 pieces); 
- dark beer (2.5 oz); 
- coconut oil (5 oz); 
- lemon juice (2.5 oz). 

The ingredients are mixed intensively, a spoonful of spirulina powder is added, and then, the resulting mixture is applied to dry hair (for 20-30 minutes). This mask restores the structure of damaged hair, nourishes them, gives them shine and strength. 

A unique mask of spirulina saturates the skin with nutrients, and also has a rejuvenating effect. In addition, it will help get rid of acne. To prepare such a miraculous cosmetic product, it is necessary to pour 30 ml of pure warm water into the contents of five capsules. This unusual mask is applied to the face in a rather thin layer and lasts about half an hour. The course of treatment should be about seven days. If necessary, after a 10-days break, the treatment can be repeated. For prevention, this mask can be used twice a week before bedtime. 

Preventive dosage for an adult is three grams, for children − one gram per day. With skin rashes and problems with the blood circulation, the spirulina is prescribed in an amount of five grams per day. To normalize the metabolism and reduce the blood sugar levels, two-four tablets of spirulina are taken before each meal. For those who want to lose weight, it needs to take the capsules before meals − all the nutrients that enter the organism will be better absorbed. Since with tablets a person consumes a large amount of water, he feels the fullness of stomach, and the need for the additional portions of food disappears. When losing weight, it is recommended to skip an evening meal, and instead take four grams of spirulina and drink two-three cups of liquid.
