Danger of Mayonnaise and Is There Any Benefit from This Product?

Literally every second salad today is dressed with a mayonnaise. This product has won people's hearts for a long time, and to this day the mayonnaise is the main dressing and additive to various dishes. The students know about the mayonnaise experience firsthand since most of them has it in their daily menu − enough to spread the mayonnaise on bread, put on the top a piece of sausage and greens, and the sandwich is ready. The mayonnaise is used in combination with a variety of foods − vegetables and fruits, meat and fish. In general, the imagination for the use of it depends only on your fantasy, but it is useful to use mayonnaise, or is harmful, it depends on the product itself. And now we will find out what is it in the mayonnaise more − benefit or harm?
 

Useful Properties of Mayonnaise

Despite the widespread opinion about the predominance of harm in the mayonnaise, there are positive aspects about it, which cannot be forgotten. So, this product consists of several components that have their positive qualities, and among these components:

- eggs;
- butter;
- vinegar;
- flavoring agents (at your own discretion).
 
So, we see in the composition of the mayonnaise at least the two products that are very useful and valuable for human health − eggs and butter. The eggs contain useful amino acids, protein, they are sources of choline (B4). In general, everything is heard about the benefits of eggs. As for the oil, it also has its own merits. So, any added oil, whether the sunflower or the olive, is easily absorbed by the organism and is a source of energy for it. Also, the oil helps prevent diseases of the cardiovascular system, sets in order the metabolism and so on. As for vinegar, it helps getting rid of harmful bacteria, and if it comes to apple cider vinegar, it also whitens your teeth.
 
In general, the homemade mayonnaise is a very useful product, which is really indispensable on the home table. However, it should be understood that such a product is perishable, unlike the purchased mayonnaise, so it should be consumed as soon as possible after cooking. The components that make up the mayonnaise have the unique properties, for example, prevent skin aging, supply it with nutrients and take care of it. So, using home-made mayonnaise, you are really becoming healthier both internally and externally.
 

Harm and Danger of Mayonnaise

As for the negative qualities of the mayonnaise, then we should discuss the product from the store. In fact, the home-made product and the purchased mayonnaise have virtually no common features. The same concerns the composition of the second product and its taste qualities. It is mayonnaise from the store that brings a lot of problems and harm, from which we all need to get rid of.
 
What is the difference between these two products? Well, for example, the composition of mayonnaise (purchased) includes a significant portion of starch, replacing the sunflower (olive or any other oil) oil. This is necessary in order to reduce the fat content of the mayonnaise (it would seem that this fat reducing contributes to the improvement of the product). The mayonnaise, in which the share of oil is less than 60%, is no longer a mayonnaise, but a simple dressing, and one with 80% is considered to be the salad mayonnaise. But, today on the supermarket's shelves we see 50%- and 15%-mayonnaises, and one can only guess how much starch there is in them.
 
And all this is only a small part of the harmful components of this product. The mayonnaise composition includes numerous flavor and color additives, flavors and other chemicals that just do not work out best for our organism. In addition, the substances that make up this mayonnaise increase appetite because of which in consequence you want to eat more and more, which is fraught with negative consequences. Mayonnaise (again, we are talking about purchased) is extremely difficult for the stomach, it upsets the intestine, affects the liver and pancreas to a large extent, causes discomfort and abdominal distention, often causes nausea.
 
Moreover, it also affects our external organs − it touches the skin and hair, teeth and nails. So, because of improper digestion of food, a metabolic disorder may occur; and a rash, acne and other skin diseases will develop on the surface of our skin. The same goes for hair − endurable and strong hairs can result in fatty, brittle and "tired" hair.
 
Therefore, be extremely careful when eating the mayonnaise because this is not really the most successful product for a healthy diet. If possible, avoid it or replace it with the other sauces or foods. It should be understood that even without the mayonnaise, the dishes can be very delicious and useful, and mayonnaise only imparts some taste for food, at the same time gradually depriving you of health.
