One of the most useful and common root-crops from the vegetable garden bed is a carrot. Useful and Medicinal Properties of Carrots 

In fact, the carrots are one of symbols of the vegetables, something like an apple among other fruits. An abundant amount of beta-carotene contributes to the prevention and development of cancers, and is also responsible for formation of the body's skeleton. It also contributes to the release and formation of the hormones that are responsible for the growth of the body. Therefore, if you or your child want to add up the growth, it is necessary to increase the consumption of the carrots in daily diet. Among other things, beta-carotene and vitamin A contribute to the development of: 

- teeth and gums of a person; 
- normal skin condition; 
- strengthening and reinforcing the hair growth; 
- influencing on the mucosa; 
- preserving the nerve cells and promoting their development; 
- giving vitality and energy to the organism, thereby increasing the resistance to physical stress.

Also, the very famous property of the carrots (beta-carotene) is the improvement of vision. In some cases, the carrots help get rid of the "clouding" in the eyes and will intensify the reaction of the eyes, which is certainly beneficial for each of us. The carrots are strengthening teeth and gums, so it is especially useful for the preschool children. There is another feature that concerns beta carotene. It has an orange tint, so, the juicier and brighter the carrots are, the more carotene it will be there, and the more useful it will be. 

It is noteworthy that the carrots contain antioxidants, all in the same beta-carotene. And it is interesting that the level of antioxidants and their beneficial effect increases after the carrots are cooked. So, it will be even more useful than the raw carrots. By the way, if you have problems with digesting food in the organism, just add a little vegetable oil to the boiled carrots, and then the last will be absorbed quickly and easily. 

Also, the carrot juice can be extracted from the carrots and consume it in the pure form. It cannot be said exactly that such a juice is much more useful than carrots, or vice versa − inferior to it, but this juice is much more convenient for using, and with its help you can easily quench your thirst, and moreover it has all the same properties as in the fresh carrots. In addition, the carrot juice improves appetite, and stimulates the secretion of saliva, increases the resistance of glands to secretion and the stability of the kidneys and the liver. 

Contraindications to Use of Fresh Carrots and Juice 


So, the carrots can be eaten as many as you want. You can eat a few pieces or drink a few pints of juice, and absolutely nothing will happen. Therefore, you may eat the carrots exactly as many as you could. Here, the case is different. The carrots are not recommended for using if you have inflammation of the intestine or acute ulcer diseases. Also, you need to slow down a little with the use of carrots, if you have noticed a change in the skin pigmentation − it will acquire a more yellow-orange shade. There is nothing to worry about, but it signals that there is an excess of vitamins in the body, and it will be better to wait a bit.
